Developers unveil vision for 'The Kenwood Collection'

Developers unveil vision for 'The Kenwood Collection'

KENWOOD, OH (FOX19)- Owners of what's now called "The Kenwood
Collection" unveiled their vision for the more than 300,000 sq. foot building
that will house both retail and office space.

"We have challenged ourselves to say, what if we've had an opportunity to
develop a project that will house a collection of retailers, not in this market
and marry it with class-A office tenants," said Davis Birdsall, Senior
Vice President of Strategic Investment Funds for Phillips, Edison and Co.

Many people question whether the structure that has been sitting for five years
is safe. Birdsall answered that question Thursday.

"The structural steel is just fine and I would appreciate it if you would
stop asking," said Birdsall. "Just a little rust you can knock it off
and it will be fine."

David Birdsall says the steel has been inspected by Messer Construction.
