Main Library hosts official Wikipedia Loves Libraries event | Arts & Culture

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Tired of turkey? Want to avoid the holiday shoppers? Then come to the Main Library Saturday, Nov. 24, between10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Wikipizza, an official Wikipedia Loves Libraries event.

Learn about the world's largest encyclopedia and eat free pizza. Topics include an introduction to Wikipedia, how to make your own contributions to this vast resource and what tools the library has available to help.

• 10 a.m.-10:15 a.m.: Welcome and introduction.
• 10:15 a.m. -11 a.m.: Markup – The nuts and bolts of editing Wikipedia.
• 11:10 a.m. to noon: Research: make the most of library resources.
• Noon to 1 p.m.: Pizza and open discussion of issues surrounding Wikipedia.
• 1 p.m.-4 p.m.: Editathon – Librarians and expert Wikipedians on hand to help guide you through your first edits and assist in your research.
