Anderson Township Library Association holds annual holiday used book sale | Arts & Culture

CINCINNATI, OH(FOX19) - It seems like holiday shopping starts earlier and earlier every year. And what better way to kick off this year’s season than with the Anderson Township Library Association’s annual Holiday & Nearly New Used Book Sale Nov. 8-10 at the Anderson Branch Library.

SALE HOURS

• Thursday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. ­to 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The upcoming sale features books in all genres. Most are suitable for gifts since only the “best of the best” are included in this sale. This year’s collectibles include books with topics on military, civil war, presidential history, a nice collection of Scottish books, and books on Shakespeare. Readers looking for popular fiction will find James Patterson, Jodi Picoult, Lee Child, Dean Koontz and many, others.

A separate room for the children's section will include board books, classics, holiday-themed books, books with CDs and many for the preschool set as well as teens. The selection of nonfiction covers most subjects, and there will also be DVDs, music CDs, puzzles and games. Start your holiday shopping here and support the special projects of the Anderson and Mount Washington branch libraries. Cash and checks are accepted but not credit cards.

The Anderson Township Library Association is a volunteer group that supports the facilities, services, and resources of the Anderson and Mount Washington branch libraries. The major efforts of the group are the two annual book sales. Funds raised by these sales are used to support adult and children’s programs, purchase books, audiovisual material, and special equipment.

Thanks to the support of the Anderson and Mount Washington community, ATLA raised $42,400 at their Used Book Sale last June. Book sale donations may be dropped off at either the Anderson or Mount Washington branches. The Anderson Branch Library is located at 7450 State Road. Call 513-369-6030.
