Precinct Restaurant (but not bar) closing for renovation Saturday | Business

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The Precinct, Cincinnati’s first steakhouse and oldest fine dining restaurant, will close Saturday night January 14th for an unspecified period of time.
“We need to expand our kitchen in order to facilitate service to our new addition," said Jeff Ruby. "We are bringing in a new Chef and we have decided it was time for a management change as well.”
The new GM is Brandon Ruby, son of Jeff Ruby.
"After ten years of valeting, serving, training and managing (while simultaneously earning a degree from Midwest Culinary Institute) he is now being given the opportunity to take over my first baby,” said Jeff Ruby.
The East End landmark's new bar will remain open for beverage service during the renovation and the Private Party room will not be affected.
Ruby is also remodeling the Precinct’s lobby, dining rooms, building and grounds. In addition, a turn-of-the-century style elevator will be another new accommodation.
