Renovations begin on Kenwood mall food court | Business

KENWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Kenwood Towne Centre begins construction this week on their food court renovation.

"Kenwood Towne Centre continues to upgrade not only the store mix with the addition of lululemon athletica, Michael Kors, The Art of Shaving, Pink, Tumi and Hot Mama, but now we are giving a new face to our center court area and food court," said Cindy Hart, mareting manager, Kenwood Towne Centre. "We look forward to many positive changes to our center in order to meet the increasing demands of our shoppers. But we never forget our roots and the reason we have been around for years - our loyal customers."

The renovated Food Court will feature a new, easier walking pattern from the main mall area to the food court tenants. The flooring will all be one level. Other new amenities will include flooring, lighting, ceiling treatments and all new Food Court furniture.

As part of the remodel the Guest Services desk was moved to the top of the escalator between Michael Kors and Lenscrafters. In September, the Guest Services will be in a newly-designed desk in the same location; but for now they are working from a temporary cart and still providing services such as selling gift cards, giving directions and providing information about items available in the stores.

Pretzelfest Popcorn Pizzazz is temporarily closed until its new location near The Gap on the first level Macy's wing. Construction is slated to begin in late June.

The food court will remain open during the renovations. Most of the work will be completed during non-operating hours.

Construction is expected to be completed by the beginning of November.
