BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - Summit Park will bring many recreational opportunities to the City of Blue Ash in coming years, but one new amenity will be available to the public beginning Saturday, December 22.
A synthetic ice skating pad (40’ x 40’) has been placed in one of the former airplane hangars at Summit Park and is free to the public beginning this Saturday, December 22. This surface mimics real ice, but isn’t frozen and is ideal for beginner skaters just starting out. Veteran skaters may have a more difficult time because there is less friction than real ice.
Summit Park has a limited number of skates available to use free of charge; however, visitors are encouraged to bring their own skates, if possible.
“Skate the Summit” will be open from 1 PM – 5 PM on December 22, December 29, and January 5, with “Six Weekends of Fun” on Saturdays and Sundays from January 12 through February 18 (special holiday skates on Monday, January 21 and Monday, February 18).
