Wounded Warrior fund benefit Sunday at Embers | Community Spirit
SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19)- On November 20th, Embers Restaurant will be sponsoring Operation Christmas Cheer with The Wounded Warrior Fund beginning at 5 PM and running through 9 PM. The event will be hosted in the expanded bar area of Embers.
The Fund has a goal of raising $15,000 to provide gift cards to our soldiers that have been wounded in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Embers Restaurant invites the general public to come and show support for all those who have sacrificed to keep the U.S.A free.
It is the mission of The Wounded Warrior Fund to provide support and comfort to our returning heroes. All future endeavors will depend on support from the community and from their members. 100% of all contributions will go directly to the soldier or their family and no funds will be used to cover administrative services. It is important to us that all contributions reach the individuals they were meant to assist.
The Fund wants to continue to support our returning warriors and their families as they deal with the stress and worry of financial strain as well as the physical and emotional stress related to recovery. Being near to their loved one is an important part of the recovery process and for many families it means a great deal of financial sacrifice to spend the hours needed to help their loved one recover from the injuries of war. The Fund’s goal is to help with these various needs as they arise for both the soldier and their family.
There is no charge to attend Operation Christmas Cheer. Embers Restaurant and The Wounded Warrior Fund suggest a $50 donation and tickets are available at the door. The event will feature Dinner by the Bite, wine stations and music by Framster and DJ.
“We believe every Warrior wants to get better, we call upon you for donations, because we believe with your help we can make a difference,” John Zipperstein, Co-Owner, Embers Restaurant.
