CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Parks and dog trainer Lisa Desatnik of So Much PETential! (http://www.SoMuchPETential.com) are partnering to offer a fun and educational program for kids (ages 6 to 8) teaching them about how to be a good friend to their new puppy, or their current 4-legged family member. At the two-hour ‘Me and My Best Friend’ event, children will learn the do’s and don’ts of playing safe and caring for their dog; as well as important bite prevention information, such as learning about how dogs communicate when they are happy, or when they want to be left them alone, and how to approach other people’s dogs. Special crafts and games will add to the fun. Kids will leave with “doggie bags”, filled with pet friendly recipes, activity ideas, and useful resources.
Cost for the program is only $5.00 per child. It is limited to 20 children, accompanied by one parent. Ben, the demonstration dog, will be there to meet and greet the children. To register, please call 513-321-6070! Visa and Mastercard accepted.
