Cincinnati Sports Club focuses on kid's health | Families
FAIRFAX, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Sports Club is getting kids ready for their back-to-school season with fitness classes.
Kids Cardio, Boot Camp, and Yoga classes are all on the schedule, and the two age groups include children ages 5-8 and juniors ages 9-13.
Classes are available Monday through Thursday and Saturday as well, they feature kickboxing, jump rope sessions, creative games and other activities.
According to Julie Goodchild, Club Manager for Cincinnati Sports Club,
"Our kids and juniors group fitness classes have become increasingly popular, and yoga, in particular, is on the rise. Yoga builds strength and flexibility at an early age, and enables children to start out the right way and incorporate fitness and healthy living as a part of their everyday lives. Studies have also shown that students taking yoga have fewer disciplinary problems, receive higher grades and are more physically fit. It is also a non-competitive and therapeutic form of exercise that can build confidence and help instill a sense of mental calmness. It's even on the curriculum for many high school physical education programs across the country."
All kids and junior classes last 45 minutes in length, they will be held in the Fairfax location at 3950 Red Bank Road. For more information call 513-527-4000 or visit www.CincinnatiSportsClub.com.
