Beech Acres Has 1/23 Workshop On Strength-Based Parenting

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Beech Acres Parenting Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers in raising children who thrive, will be hosting its first 2012 ‘For the Love of Kids’ monthly parenting workshops on January 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Attendees will learn about Beech Acres’ powerful approach called intentional strength-based parenting that focuses on strengths rather than deficits, and being fully present in the flow of day-to-day moments that families share. The one hour workshop will teach parents how to shift from being reactive to proactive, to see their own and their child's natural strengths, and to be mindful of leveraging the many teachable moments presented everyday by children.

Cost is $15 and pre-registration is required at www.beechacres.org/classes. It will be held at the Anderson Beech Acres Parenting Center, 6881 Beechmont Ave; 45230.
