New Approach to Chronic Illness "Inventing Breakthroughs Day"
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - First-of-its-kind event is bringing doctors, patients, researchers, and advocacy groups to Cincinnati from around the country to revolutionize care for chronically ill young people.
Inventing Breakthroughs Day is hosted by the Collaborative Chronic Care Network, or C3N, and ImproveCareNow, a network of pediatric gastroenterologists collaborating to improve care and outcomes for children with Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, two serious digestive disorders affecting young people. Participants at the event will engage in hands-on activities and learn about the latest advances in health information technology and interactive healthcare tools.
"We're harnessing the collective energy and intelligence of patients, clinicians and researchers in much more coordinated and effective ways than ever before," said Peter Margolis, MD, PhD, co-principal investigator for C3N.
