Fishing Derby at Stepping Stones in Indian Hill
INDIAN HILL, OH (FOX19) - Stepping Stones Adult Services program is holding a fishing tournament that is open to the public on Saturday, October 13 in Indian Hill.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the tournament runs from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
A $50 dollar prize will be awarded for the biggest bass, blue gill and catfish. Bass and blue gill must be released back into the lake, but catfish can be kept, said tournament chair Karen Bruton of Mariemont.
The tournament is a fund raiser for the Adult Services program which provides social, recreational and daily living skills programs for adults with disabilities.
A lifeguard will be on duty at the lake. Picnic-style food including hot dogs, soft drinks, hot chocolate and coffee will be available, as well as a raffle.
A summer tournament drew 33 entrants plus family and friends.
“We’re hoping to top that as people get out and enjoy the early fall weather,” said Bruton.
