INDIAN HILL, OH (FOX19) - A Cincinnati Country Day junior is organizing a fundraiser to help fight juvenile cancer.
The Rhythm-CancerFree KIDS Benefit Show is being held at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 in the John Whitman Keeler Theater at Cincinnati Country Day.
Organizer Pratiti Ghosh-Dastidar was first moved to help CancerFree KIDS while a student at Loveland. She heard Ellen Flannery, founder of the organization, speak to the Loveland Intermediate School Student Council, which was planning a fundraiser for the organization.
Flannery’s daughter, Shayna, now in high school, was just five months old when she was diagnosed with cancer. Pratiti is the same age as Shayna and attended school with her at Loveland until transferring to CCDS after seventh grade.
