Employees pistol-whipped during Fresh Market robbery

OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) - Police are looking for the suspects who robbed the Fresh Market in Oakley.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Monday night at the location on Madison Road as the store was getting ready to close.

Initial reports are that two men with guns entered the store and pistol-whipped two employees.

The suspects got away in a car that was parked behind the store at Minot and Broadway. Police believe a third person was in the car. 

The suspects got away with cash.

Matthew 25 Ministries headed to Oklahoma

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19)- Matthew 25: Ministries is preparing shipments of relief supplies for residents of Oklahoma, following the destruction caused by Sunday evening's tornadoes and the additional devastating storms on Monday.

As many as 28 tornadoes were reported in Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois and Iowa yesterday, according to the National Weather Service, with Oklahoma and Kansas hardest hit. At least two persons died and dozens were injured.  An estimated 300 homes were damaged or destroyed across Oklahoma. Today, a massive tornado has ripped through the suburbs south of Oklahoma City.

Earlier Monday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado emergency for the Oklahoma City metro area. This is a rare warning from the weather service, one it issues only "when a severe threat to human life and catastrophic damage from a tornado is imminent or ongoing."

Several people arrested after raid of Cincy motel

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- Several people have been arrested after a raid at a Sycamore Township motel.

Deputies raided the Drake Motel, located on Reading Road, on Monday morning.

Several people were arrested at the scene. The motel's owner, Devas P. Desai, was arrested for obstruction of official business. No other information has been released.

Officers tell FOX19 that this raid is the result of a months long investigation into drug activity at the motel.

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - As motorists take to the roads this Memorial Day holiday, Blue Ash Police are urging everyone to buckle up. Beginning Monday, May 20 law enforcement officials will be out in full force, taking part in the 2013 national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization and cracking down on motorists who are not belted.

“The summer is almost here, and with the warm weather comes vacations, holidays, graduations, and many more activities that put more drivers on our roads.  The Blue Ash Police Department wants to remind everyone the importance of wearing your seat belt every time you get in your car.  It’s a very simple thing to do that can save your life,” commented Blue Ash Police Chief Paul Hartinger.

Blue Ash Police recently joined with Law Enforcement Officers from the Tri-State region for the 2013 Campaign Kick-Off Event.

Police investigate Dillonvale stabbing

Police investigate Dillonvale stabbing

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- A 60-year-old man is recovering from a stabbing in Dillonvale.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department says the victim was an employee of the Apple Tree Cafe.

Investigators believe that someone followed him inside when he took the trash out just after midnight.

The man's injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Tennis program helps inner-city youths

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- The Inner City Tennis Project, an organization helping Cincinnati's youth since 1982, is hosting a tournament this weekend at Kenwood Country Club.

The tournament provides competitive play for participants of all skill levels. More importantly, the tournament provides funding and awareness for a program benefiting hundreds of inner-City children.  

The organization has been providing tennis lessons to local juniors on a daily basis giving kids free equipment, shoes, clothes and guidance along the way.

The organization has been very successful. Children in the inner-City are seeing that tennis can teach them to be more complete, can give them something positive to do in the summer and lead to a better life.

Fire damages Anderson Twp. home

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19)- A fire badly damaged an Anderson Township home.

It happened early Saturday morning at a home in the 8000 block of Pine Terrace Drive.

Fire officials say they got a call that smoke was coming from the laundry room. 

Before fire crews arrived, the residents got out of the home safe and crews were able to get the fire put out.

Fire officials say there is significant damage to the home's first floor.

The Red Cross arrived to assist the homeowner. There were no injuries reported.

The incident is still under investigation.
