LOVELAND, OH (FOX19) - The Loveland Symmes Fire Department is offering a Citizens Fire Academy starting March 21, 2012. Adults in and around the Loveland/Symmes community are welcome to attend this free program.
The program is designed to be a fun and educational way to learn about activities that firefighters and paramedics are expected to do while on the job. Participants will see demonstrations and be involved in hands-on training such as hose and ladder operations, use of firefighting equipment, visit the 9-1-1 dispatch center, as well as the ability to see the vehicles and other equipment up close-all in a safe and controlled environment.
The program will be held in the form of a total of 6 meetings and will be held in the evening from 7 to 9 p.m. every other week.
