MADISONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - All new in September, 2011 is the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati's ‘Y at Duck Creek’ – a beautiful, conveniently located health and wellness center for adults and children. The Y at Duck Creek is a friendly place where adult members will love coming to make new friends, have fun, and be supported in achieving goals for healthy living. It is located just off the Redbank Road exit off of I-71.
As at all of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati branches, the Y at Duck Creek offers FREE two hour childwatch babysitting for kids ages 6 months to about 9 years while parents are working out (and all staff have had extensive background checks, are CPR and first aid certified, and receive child protection training).
The new branch offers personal training, on site wellness coaches, ActivTrax virtual personal trainers, group exercise classes, state-of-the-art cardio equipment with interactive technologies, state-of-the-art strength training equipment, and group specialty training (such as TRX, kettleballs, and Bosu).
Also at the Y at Duck Creek is the Y Early Learning Center all day child care for kids ages six weeks to five years. Play and exploration is used to engage and nurture children’s thinking abilities while fostering social and emotional growth and confidence. Age appropriate interactive stations in classrooms encourage learning to count, analyze, read, draw, and imagine. All the while, teachers may engage them with open ended questions where no answer is wrong but every try is rewarded. YMCA staff work in cooperation with the goals of each family.
