SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - The Sharonville Chamber of Commerce will present the Taste of Northern Cincinnati on Sunday, Feb. 19, from Noon to 4 p.m.

It's an all-you-can -eat one-price event with food from 20 restaurants.

The restaurants include: Blue Goose, Costco, Crown Plaza, Dessert Works, Elements Catering, Gold Star Chili, Golden Rule Catering, Iron Horse, J.

Bar offering altered beer this week for Cincy Beer Week

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Keystone Hyde Park is offering a different take on beer this week.  On Monday and Tuesday they will be "Randalling" beer at for Cincy Beer Week.

What's a Randall?  It's a "hop transducer" invented by Dogfish Head Beer, a device that attaches to a beer tap. The beer runs through a chamber containing fresh hops or certain other plants or flavorings to add that taste to a beer, and through a filter.

It's a somewhat complex device with a few hundred around the wold, mostly at bars.

Keystone will have Simco hops and will be Randalling Hop Slam by Bells.  The Randall be at work from 6-9 Monday and Tuesday evening.  Keystone Hyde Park in on Erie Avenue just east of Marburg Avenue in the eastern end of Hyde Park.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Dogfish Head may not sound all that tasty, but people may find it more attractive when they find out it is a kind of beer, not part of a small shark.

For Wednesday of Cincy Beer Week, Dogfish Head, the brewing company, is putting their Sony Music Series beers on tap at Keystone Hyde Park.  Diners will enjoy specially created Mac & Cheese offerings inspired by and paired with varieties like Miles Davis' Bitches Brew, Robert Johnson's Hellhound On My Ale & Pearl Jam's Faithful Ale.

Menu:

  • Nirvana mac & cheese paired with Dogfish Faithful Ale
  • Buffalo Springfield mac & cheese paired with Dogfish Hell Hound
  • BB King mac & cheese paired with Dogfish Bitches Brew

The event isWednesday, February 8 from 6-9 p.m.  Keystone Hyde Park is at 3384 Erie Avenue, a block east of UDF in the eastern part of Hyde Park.

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) – Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation will present fire training equipment to the Loveland Symmes Fire Department during a ceremony at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at the Kings Mall Firehouse Subs.

Otherwise unavailable due to budget constraints, the department benefits with a BullEx smoke generator and SmartDummy Training Manikin, worth $8,899. The donated items are crucial pieces of training equipment and will help simulate real-life scenarios where victims are trapped in vehicles and house fires. The SmartDummy is used to help prepare for life-threatening situations, it feels, sounds and moves like a real person.

Both items will enhance the department's training program allowing them to better serve the community. Since 2005, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated more than $79,921 to public safety entities in Ohio.

BLUE ASH, Ohio – Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is awarding much needed equipment to the Blue Ash Fire Department during a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at the Firehouse Subs in Blue Ash.  Otherwise unavailable due to budget constraints, the department benefits with a live fire extinguisher training system, worth $10,247. The new simulator will allow firefighters to instruct residents in the community on proper fire extinguisher use.

The fire department receives many requests for fire extinguisher training and this new simulator will provide an efficient method of teaching. Since 2005, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated $79,921 to public safety entities in Ohio.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Qdoba Mexican Grill, the leading fast-casual restaurant known for its fresh and innovative Mexican cuisine, will hold the grand opening of its first Western Hills location on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at 6173 Glenway Ave in Westwood.  To celebrate, Qdoba will welcome guests with exclusive deals and samples of its signature 3-Cheese Queso.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - As part of Cincinnati Beer Week, Keystone Hyde Park will host a Rivertown Dinner on Thursday, February 9th.  It's a Four-course meal featuring four of Rivertown's craft beers, for forty dollars.

The Rivertown Menu includes:

1. Blueberry Arugula Salad (paired w/ Rivertown Blueberry Lager)
-Arugula tossed in lemon vinaigrette topped with fresh blueberries, brie, candied walnuts and finished with a blueberry balsamic reduction.

2. Sausage filled Ravioli filled with Roasted Butternut Squash Sauce (paired with Rivertown Bock).
-Ravioli filled with Italian Sausage finished with a roasted butternut squash sauce and fried sage.

3. Fra Diavolo Short Ribs with smoked Gruyere Polenta (paired with Rivertown Dunkel).
-Braised short ribs with spicy Fra Diavolo sauce (spicy tomato-based sauce) served atop smoked Gruyere Polenta and served with asparagus.
