Train car to become addition for Loveland restaurant

LOVELAND, OH (FOX19) - Scott Gordon, owner of The Works Brick-oven Restaurant in Loveland has purchased a 1921 Pullman passenger train car to attach to the restaurant.  It will be delivered on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 2:00 am.  The car will rest on 85 feet of tracks next to The Works.

The train car, "Crusader" is traveling from Gettysburg, Pa.

Henke Winery holds wine-tasting Sunday

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Henke Winery will hold a wine-tasting event Sunday, August 21 from 1-4 p.m. at the Harper's Point Kroger.

While that may not sound like the most exciting setting for a wine tasting, it may be for the people at the Westwood winery: beginning Sunday, Henke wines will be available at the Harper's Point Kroger.

The store is located at 11390 Montgomery Road in Symmes Township.

Restaurant runs Munoz Foundation fundraiser August 23

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19)- The Jersey Mike's in Blue Ash is teaming up with the Anthony Munoz Foundation to host a fundraiser on Tuesday, August 23rd from 5pm-8pm. 20% of the proceeds going to the Foundation.

The Anthony Munoz Foundation helps over 10,000 underprivileged kids every year. And at the heart of the foundation is a true role model and community leader, Anthony Munoz himself. 

Munoz will be there personally to meet everybody, sign autographs and there will be a drawing at the end of the night for an autographed football signed by the Hall-of-Famer.

Construction delays new City Barbeque opening

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - Serving their signature beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, City Barbeque will open in Blue Ash at 10375 Kenwood Road in the former Rombes location on Monday, August 1. This location was originally scheduled to open on July 28, but construction issues pushed opening day back.
 
The 3,300 square foot restaurant will seat 80 people indoors and 65 outdoors on the patio. “We have looked at Blue Ash for the past five years and felt this was the best location in the area,” said Ryan Minser, general manager.

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is awarding much needed equipment to the West Chester Fire Department at 3:30 p.m. on July 27. The department benefits with a Forcible Entry Door Simulator, worth $6,000. This device is used to train first responders on forcible entry techniques, allowing for quick access to buildings and homes in emergency situations.

Firehouse Subs is renowned for hearty, oversized portions and piping hot subs. The founders' 200-year firefighting heritage inspired the formation of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provides funding and support to public safety entities.
