MARIEMONT, OH (FOX19) - A retired Mariemont High School football coach has won the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching award.
Crosby compiled a 215-118-1 record at Mariemont. His teams made 10 playoff appearances and finished as state runners-up in 1980 and 1995. His clubs were voted to seven Cincinnati city championships, and he was a seven-time Coach of the Year selection by the Cincinnati Enquirer and/or Cincinnati Post.
He was named 1995 Coach of the Year in Greater Cincinnati in an earlier Bengals-sponsored program, and he was presented with the award by Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Walsh at Riverfront Stadium. Also in 1995, he was named Ohio Coach of the Year in Division V. In 2010, he was inducted into the Ohio High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
Crosby is the 12th winner of the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award.
