"Silhouette man" coming to town

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - An artist whose paintbrush is a pair of scissors is coming to the Tri-State in June.

Tim Arnold, the "Silhouette Man", will be visiting area Dillard's stores from June 13 to 18.

His specialty is in cutting out incredibly detailed silhouettes while his models wait.  His work is displayed all over the world; at one time, one was at the White House.  Most of his subjects are children whose images he created as he tours the country.

Arnold was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Hamilton.  We don't yet have the individual dates and hours for the Dillard's appearances.

Butler County lowest and highest for gasoline

Butler County lowest and highest for gasoline

FAIRFIELD (FOX19) - It's the best of times and the worst of times for people filling up on gasoline in Butler County.

After many stations around the Tri-State raised their prices to $3.59 (plus .009) Friday, very few of them kept them at that level. It appears many stations east of Hamilton along Route 4 from Fairfield to Monroe didn't raise their prices at all, according to cincygasprices.com, and they were generally lower on Monday than they were before the price hike.

Regular prices at stations in that stretch were running from $3.22 to $3.29 after 2 p.m. Monday.

Are high gas prices starting to falter?

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A third gasoline price hike in the last two weeks has many Tri-State filling stations charging $3.49(9) per gallon of regular gas,  but only a day after the hike,  prices in a few parts of town are significantly lower than that.

A check of cincygasprices.com and its affiliate sites, along with speedway.com shows what seemed to be a gas price war has returned to Oxford after a disappearance for some weeks.  All stations reporting between Wednesday and Thursday evening were between 2.25 and 2.29, with reports for two stations on Thursday afternoon or evening, including Speedway, at $2.25.

The Speedway and UDF/Mobil stations on Cincinnati Dayton Road in West chester were at 3.299, while multiple stations on Cincinnati-Columbus Road were at 3.34.
